Avery Nixon

Avery is a fan of eating, writing, and going to bed early. He loves magic and spends at least a good hour every day wishing it existed. When he’s not writing, you can usually find Joe on the sidewalk where his dog walks him. He lives in Kansas, and yes, it really is as boring as the Wizard of Oz makes it sound.

Avery started writing epic fantasy only year ago but he loves it and never intends to write anything else. He believes that every good book has three elements: A problem, a solution, and a little big of magic.

Nena Bell

Nena is an author, teacher, and smoothie drinker. She has been writing since she emerged triumphant from the dark recesses of adolescence. She dreams of owning a flower garden where she can write her stories and befriend the bees. Concerned with the growing prejudice in the world, Nena embraced the dystopian genre and has no intention of letting it go.

When Nena is not writing, she prefers chatting with friends about her favorite books. She is also an avid knitter with more fingerless gloves than she can wear in a month. She lives in Portland, Oregon and contributes in every way she can to keep Portland weird.
